River District
Early in 2003, the LCDC Board of Commissioners proposed the formation of a new urban redevelopment district in Coeur d'Alene: The River District. The River District is located between I90 and the Spokane River, and runs from the Huetter Road area in the west to Ramsey Rd in the east.
The LCDC spent most of 2003 preparing the necessary plans for the River District. The City Council of Coeur d'Alene formally established the River District on November 18, 2003. The River District Plan can be viewed as a Word document below. Also, the River District's Financial Feasibility Report (as performed by Keyser-Marston Associates, Inc.) and Eligibility Report (a report that evaluates an area's eligibility for urban redevelopment) can be viewed and downloaded in PDF and Word formats respectively (see below).
