LCDC is partnering with the City of Coeur d'Alene, North Idaho College, University of Idaho, Lewis Clark State College, Fort Grounds Homeowners Association and community stakeholders to establish an “education corridor” which includes the current North Idaho College campus, the old DeArmond mill site, the BNSF railroad right of way along Northwest Boulevard, and the City’s ownership (excluding the wastewater treatment facility) up to Highway 95.  The consulting firm of Moore, Iacofano, Goltsman (MIG) completed an education corridor conceptual campus master plan for the area in 2008.
