Lake District
The LCDC's Lake District was formed in 1997, and encompasses 729 core acres of Coeur d'Alene. The Lake District includes portions of Midtown, Downtown and Northwest Boulevard.

In August of 2002, the LCDC Board of Commissioners hired the consultant team of Zimmer-Gunsul-Frasca and the Leland Group to formulate the 2003 Strategic Plan for the Lake District (see Plan below).
Also in 2003, the LCDC Board of Commissioners proposed modifications to the Lake District's original 1997 Plan; primarily seeking a term extension for the Lake District. On November 18, 2003, the City Council of Coeur d'Alene approved the Amended and Restated Lake District Plan, and accompanying Financial Feasibility Report (prepared by Keyser-Marston Associates); both documents can be viewed below.
